John,

 

get yourself a skipping rope, try and skip for about twenty minutes(harder than it sounds!). I can guarantee if your not used to it you'll be outta breath in about two. after, to top it up, do situps and pressups. maybe 3 set of 10 p/ups and 4 sets of 20 situps. try to ramp up the body resistance exercises till you can do 50 p/ups and 100 situps straight off the cuff. :blink:

I disagree with the above, your body will adapt very quickly to the cycling. I cycle 15 miles into work, climb, then cycle 15 miles back again. Your sex life might suffer though as you’ll be asleep before you hit the pillow!

 

I also cycle to work, ok it's only about 5miles but I find in the mornings it warms my legs up and I don't ache so much after a climb and on the way home it acts as abit of a warm down. Once I've got my lisence I'm still gonna cycle to work with my harness and helmet around each side of my handle bars just as I do now :)

i said that too mate, then the i just took the car :001_smile:

 

I've got a feeling it will probably happen, although I'm looking to buy a landrover so il probably end up cycling when it breaks down LOL
