Best Transit tipper to buy?

We've two transits, had one for over 5 years now, a bit slow and not much fun towing a tracked chipper when fully loaded but it will do it. Apart from the lack of legal carrying capacity they do the job just fine! The newer one with the turbo tows our chippers fully loaded without any problems.

 

I'd stick a tool box on the back rather then go for a crew cab. I'd imagine you'll be overloaded with just tools in a crewcab

Check the actual tipper operation is a proper 4 stage ram from the cab end and not one of those rubbish scissor lift things from the rear.

Side access tool box not a bad shout. Frank is spot on about the ram as well.

we have a transit single cab with a toolbox and chip box on at work, it seems to fit down most drives and entries etc, but it is not very good when fully loaded with chip or logs especially when pulling a chipper.
