Ive seen that 7" ducker on Prices website and I was thinking it might go well on the front of the u900. There are two worries I have, the first being that i've seen a vid of a greenmech tmp150 thats hydraulically driven and it looked cack to say the least and my second worry is that that model dosnt have a blower so would I spend all day unblocking it. Currently I dont have a front pto shaft fitted but the box does have provision for one. Could I possible run a bigger pump off the front pto to give more grunt to the chipper?

Yes but if you have a front PTO why not just put a regular chipper direct to that?

If you do go with the pump idea you will need a decent sized pump, by the time you have spent money on that you would probably be better fitting a regular PTO set up.

Cant think of anything worse , hydraulics get tired after a couple of hours . The oil gets warm, foams and it all slows down. Its ok on flails and mowers where its not being caned but you only need to use one of those hydraulic stump grinders vs direct drive to see how bad losses are.

You don't need a blower on the chipper to get it into the back, it will clog if the blades are blunt though while chipping Conny or pine.

I have a text somewhere from Stan explaining why it's not that simple a job to convert that back to a pto machine, I think the bill before you sort out you pto is about £2k as it needs a reversing gearbox and mounts for starters.

I think a u900 is a bit light for a front mount unless it's very light, I tp150 on the back is perfect imo
