the swing drop traps are fab for this - aka leave a route though - then once theyve found the hole - pull the pin and as they go through the whole the counterbalance swing drops them in the pit./

Most ,if not all the trees would survive. The issue is scarring, garden centres,nurseries will not buy scarred trees.

Probably only two or three animals .They can really get stuck in ,especially if there is a moon on.

You can buy stuff that uis garlic based to spray on the trunks, it goes a long way to help prevent it happening.

You used to be able to make a stronger mix of a chemical called thiram (Thianosan) and spray it on with a knapsack. Not sure if you are allowed to do that still.

It is actually a fungicide but it is an irritant. Wouldn't harm the rabbits, they just wouldn't want a second bite.

Neither of the above are particularly expensive and a bit of a no brainer considering the potential costs of losing that lot.
