Does someone on the forum have experience of these machines with PTO drive? Looking at a machine that can mulch, snow blow, winch and log split. Think diesel best option? Thanks

We have a two wheel Aebi pedestrian tractor that has a froward facing PTO. The only attachment we have used on it is a 1mtr flail, the engine is a monster of a single cylinder petrol Kubota. They really are the muts nuts for scrambling around on banks and along fencelines. I will take a piccy of it.

used BCS and very good machines now the newer ones with bigger engines do the business. can put most things on the pto and can have a trailer with seat to ride on. worth looking at or grillo but do not know much about them exept made in italy like the bcs and its green:biggrin:

saw a Goldoni 2 wheeler a few years ago. Think there is a range of sizes and you could spin the handles 180 degrees to either have the PTO fwd or aft facing, depending on the implement attached

edit - just had a quick google and quite a lot of implements available for them, although I suspect the likes of the backhoe will have limited use :-)

They're OK for tiny areas. Anything else, get a compact tractor.

You can buy chippers etc with their own engine for what BCS want just for the attachment, which is nothing special.

The flail mower attachments will struggle in anything other than light bramble- leafy vegetation sucks the power of any flail, and the 2-wheel tractors have precious little to start with.

The best job for mine was mowing some SAMs (old burial mounds) where we weren't supposed to take machinery (I just assumed they meant BIG machinery!). The locals told me stories about a farmer who tried to plough to close, and the spirits stalled the engine :001_cool: I think they knew we meant no harm, only to improve their final resting place, because the little BCS did a cracking job.:lol:

Traction is a big issue- they have precious little weight, and even less ground clearance. Get the biggest wheels you can, and water ballast them Don't laugh, you won't believe the difference it makes. Like night and day.

But for what you want, I really think you'd be better off with a small compact tractor. Attachments for 2-wheel tractors carry a hefty premium also, despite only being capable of a fraction of the work.
