Eye protection

Having very nearly lost the sight in one eye a couple of months ago whilst hedge trimming, I've started to wear goggles/glasses under my visor. I picked up some at the APF called Safe Eyes which seem

Ok. They are the fine mesh sort so misting up no problem, not amazingly comfortable but for £10 can't complain. Pretty sure there are others out there which may be better design

We use Bolle anti fog as these seem to be the longest lasting with the best anti fog coating. A little more expensive than the run of the mill but it just means you take care of them better. If they work well you tend to wear them all the time. Wash them under running water rather than using a cleaning cloth as using the cloth just rubs sawdust etc around the surface of the lens and removes the anti fog coating. Part of the PPE at council and must be worn unless wearing them proves to be a greater risk than not.

For me the pfanner glasses didnt fit that well whilst using ear defence. The tips of the arms that go around and behind the ear would place more than usual pressure making them uncomfortable after long periods of wear time

That's where the Bolle contour scores well. The ends of the arms are flat and curve around the head so they are comfortable under ear defenders
