How many miles has your truck done?

wow! thats pretty good going hope i get that sort of miles out of my 56plate transit.

Whats your service regime for it? and do you take it to a ford dealership for its services or not bother?

serviced every 5000ish,genuine engine,2nd gearbox,2nd back axle and the local garage service:001_smile:

currently about to up grade from my 1986 defender 90 with 249500 on the clock to my first proper arb truck a 1996 defender 130 with 215000 on the clock won't be changing again for a long while !!

my lpg peugeot partner van bought new in 2002 has 278000 miles on the clock.. saves me about diesel equivalent £125 a month in fuel.. getting tired now.. amazingly still on same alternator&starter motor.. 2nd clutch/battery. got a mk 3 hilux lpg in restoration at moment.. tipper body etc.. will post when done..

At present I have...

 

3.2 Pajero with 256,000kms

 

110 200tdi ex army H/Top with 108,000kms

 

....and my 300 tdi Disco which has just spat a transfer box out at 390,000kms(I'll keep the engine as it's using no oil between services and scrap the rest)

 

I spied a 200tdi Disco in a car park a couple of years ago with 930,000kms on the speedo...looked rough but it was still running daily....I hate to think what was spent on that to keep it running up to do that distance!

98 defender 130 currently at 199.000 bought off e bay, just rebuilt the turf burner …. pulls like a train now ,02 td5 110 170000 all original parts.just retired disco with 375000 arse fell off it! engine and gearbox into stock, for project 130….. serviced every 4k, oil and filter including fuel tank clean out twice a year!
