I think I could do this until it turns out I can't have tea with milk. Then there's what to do with all the current stocks of food. Flour, oats, cheese, jars of sauce, pasta, pulses etc, etc... Any ideas of what to do with the food?

Just stop buying it and simply use up whats in.

A good network of food banks out there.

This is an example.....

That's good for the unopened stuff but it could take a couple of weeks to use up what's open, and kind of gets in the way of progress. I want to crack on but equally hate wastage. The house isn't full of other people to use it up so was hoping for ideas on how to use up the things that in the macro term will expire but can't be used up in a day or two. An example would be, jars of chutneys/jam that are open, blocks of cheese left from Christmas, butter, flour, white rice, ketchup, open bags of pasta, flour, perl barly, bulga wheat etc...... I know in the grand scheme of things it's not a huge amount of money but throwing away food has always felt extremely wrong.

haha! you were the one who asked the question!!!

I like to think others have a basic level of intellect. For example, and if we are to be picky. I don't seem to have written anything about not being able to stop purchasing anything. As I'm on the app I can't view the other person who qouted at the same point in the thread to mention them in person. But their point was put across in an non condescending way and was helpful. Is it too much to expect?
