:confused1: Parsnips are fine, better than cheese:sneaky2:

Not in my book Huck, parsnips have a higher glycemic index than potatoes!

They have been bred to suit human tastes since the agricultural revolution. Not Paleo.

I agree that cheese isn't Paleo, but it has less than 1% carbs.

What's not paleo about fruit? And tomato ketchup is just tomatoes and a bit of sugar.

Modern fruit has been bred to be much sweeter than Paleo-era fruit since the agricultural revolution.

And you're supposed to be avoiding all forms of processed sugar! :001_tt2:

If you run great on it though, more power to you! :thumbup1:

But surely, going on that school of thought, to be true paleo, most forms of meat- beef, lamb and pork have all been bred to suit ourselves so to speak.

True, but short of going to live in the wild and hunting (sounds like a lot of hard work) the closest you can get is eating organic produce.

I think most people doing this are sticking to the general principles, as being a purist will never work as it's too difficult/hard on the wallet!

Been on this for a week and a half now

Feel great lots of energy, like others have said its more to do with cutting out the crap ( chocolate, sweets etc )

One thing I have noticed personally is I have started getting spots and more recently a cold sore ? Don't know if anyone else has noticed anything like this ?

However I feel more energized and sharper, maybe it's more to do with non binging post Christmas I don't know but i will stick with this diet for now as I feel in the zone !
