Could you put ply boards on the roof and then stand on whilst roped in (carefully), will protect the roof too. The pitch of the roof may be too steep though, and it may be too much grief to drag the boards down and set up and then take away.

Crane to lift the top out? Will save a lot of time and make life so much easier just crane the two halfs should not take more than half a day with crane hire :)

Helicopter would be better

Yh that would be nice fly all the bits to the yard :D but crane is definitely an option to save time and risk with the surrounding area ie Asbestos and fuel tanks :)

Bit over kill on an easy mornings work for two guys, IMO.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
