Rob the pic in your first post, its the hard tip, shiny with black decals. Whats different to this and the sugiharra pro shiny with red decals ( apart from the colours ) lol

The ones with red decals are the solid pro bars ie. one piece construction.

The ones with the white sections and the black decals are the 'light types' where sections have been removed and filled with resin. This gives lighter weight (around 20% to 25%)....

...but more importantly looks better!

I already have most sizes in the light type bars Dan - I'll attach the pdf to this reply :001_smile:

Not sure i've ever been this excited about getting a new chainsaw bar before :blushing:

There's no shame in it! They are lovely things - not sure why they look and feel better than other bars - they just do!

How do the resin inserts hold up as the bars wear a bit?

I have 13" solid and light weight. Just wondering if their are any longevity issues with resin inserts. Other than then potentially popping out if you bend the bar.

Good question - not sure yet but I expect them to last the life of the bar... light type bars are not new for Sugihara - they have been making them for a good few years.
