Dipping bars

Anyone know a cheap option for bars to do dips on?

Cheapest on tinternet so far is £159.

Can't have some lash up contraption because it will have to live indoors and support 20+ stone for weighted dips. 2 chairs just won't do it.

Must be at least 3 1/2 feet off ground because of dipping belt.

And I am crap at welding.

i just do it in the corner of the kitchen worksurfaces

There's the problem.

That's what I have done for years, but have just had a new kitchen fitted, and the corner has moved so it is over a weak joint. Don't want to risk busting the joint, or scratching the new oak doors with the weight plates.

I don't like gyms, Mick. There is quite a high proportion of tossers in most of them.

I don't just do dips, but they are such a core part of my training I can't do without them.

Can anyone lend me £159?

I seem to have spent all my money on a new kitchen....:w00t:

That is true, but I like the flexibility of being able to train whenever I want at home.

Do the heavy stuff in my mate's garage gym a couple of times a week, but it's a pain if I miss it 'cos I'm working late or out pricing, which is more of an issue with the lighter nights now.

And I'm too tight to pay gym fees!
