Valtra/botex and chipper

I've done the side window up-ending a grab load to level it out then when I picked it up it swung in and just kissed the glass!

Has anyone tried mounting lights on the crane? The work lights on the tractor don't let me see the second bay of the trailer so I end up doing Jedi unloading - "use the force."

Do you use 2 or 4 rear lights. I have 2 and also can't see the 2nd bunk very well. I want to get 4 two rather focused ones and two more defuse ones, check out Clarks range of lights. I also want side work lights too one by the window another by the door both sides. Not quite sure i've got enough switches and power to do it though.

As for crane lights thought of that, not sure how to mount them without welding directly onto the crane which i'd think would be a no no. I'd want one to light the grapple and one pointed up to light the top of the dipper.

The hydraulic pipes are sometimes held onto the boom with clips that bolt into a gromit. You can simply make a bracket up to slot behind the pipes that the bolt can then go through from the clip. might juts need a longer bolt.

use the led lights you can put loads on , they hardly use any power , they dont get hot , and they can all be used on one switch

I did see a botex on a trailer that had work lights mounted on the dipper boom near the top, they were housed in bits of box section On either side and just clamped around the boom with steel strapping so no bolts or welds and very well protected. Both were LED with quite a broad light spread pointing at the grab. I think farmi offer something similar as an option.

Artwork that t190 looks very well guarded! Tidy job too. Far better than another if had a go with on a Jake plate.

I bought a camera with built in spots lights to fit to the underside of the dipper but I never got round to fitting it. The tractor already had a tv screen and camera for chipping.

Maybe the new owner fitted it.

Stan from nomad had a Valtra with roof mount that had a Camera on it, my mate used to drive it and said it made it a dream to operate. I was gonna fit one on mine as when I used to crane feed I kept knocking the stop bar:-(
