Well here goes! nice clean poplar log at 200mm (8"),letting the saws do the work and not using dawgs:

 

This is were it could be miss leading . Just letting the weight of the saw pull the cut through ( big saws having more weight ) you are not making use of any available torque . You may have found something like the 560 still cutting hard even if you leaned on it therefore shortening its time ?

stihl 066 25" 24.5 seconds

stihl ms460 20" 18.8

echo 610 18" 24.3

echo 550 16" 27.8

husky 550xp 13" 26.3

husky 560xp 15" 22.1

husky 242xp 13" 31

dolmar 5105 16" 27.1

 

Popped the 15" on the husky 550xp as suggested and it managed 28.5

the dolly and echo 550 were literally on second tank out of the box so probably a little tight still

not an exact science or test but interesting

 

One can roughly deduce therefore that the dolmar 5105 is the strongest in its class - as suspected i.e. 16" @ 27.1 vs 550xp on an inch less at 28.5... And not only that the echo 550 beats the husky 550 like for like. Fair play, echo and dolmar hehe

I popped the husky 13" on the dolly (wasn't sure it would fit) no figures though as the man on the stopwatch fainted

The 460 has the torque for small wood, and the top end for speed. My 046 consistently beat a buds 066 in any wood up to 24". After that, the 066's grunt would prevail. I even have a vid of my 372 beating his 066 in about 20" of red alder whilst running a longer bar, too.

Interesting, I reckon on 3/8 or .325 8t the 560xp would have given the 460 a run for its money, likewise, dropping the 13" bar on the 560 would have also been interesting.

Though the times are a little long for 8" poplar IMO, I reckon sub 15 seconds could have been quite easily achieved if you'd really pushed
