Stihl battery powered chainsaws

Just had the FR Jones email about battery powered chainsaws.

If they're any good I would consider one for carving work, obviously need two batteries and charger.

Are the batteries interchangeable with other stihl products?

Anybody got feedback on battery life usual good, bad and ugly comments?

Was looking at their new battery blower lol think it look amazballs lol that plus the back pack i think is 11-12hrs use.

Ud have to check that a saw runs off it if u was going down that route but there would be a cable between u and the saw if it was compatible

I think battery powers place is for such as early starts so as not to wake neighbours, early start weekend work etc.

Another ideal use would be for residential firewood cutting, but to buy one for every day use for the sake of using it is not ideal. Why use a cordless drill when your stood next to a power point?

What's the battery life like on these saws? Thinking of getting some on our Christmas trees. Lots of small cuts through the day. Some shaving down of the stems of the trees. But not heavy use. Had some huskie electric saws for a few years but they are a bit tired now as they get battered.

Can they run Oregon power sharp too?
