Love having the reversing camera.:thumbup1: Fitted to the Land-Rover and wouldn't be without it now. Makes reversing out of places, hitching trailers, turning in tight spaces surrounded by trees/ditches much easier. I think Americam is the model I've got, following a review in one of the magazines. Easy to fit, quality of picture is good. There are certainly cheaper models out there, don't know how good they are.

Get one, you won't regret it.

I've got one I use as a rear view mirror because my chip box is quite wide. I just got the camera and monitor from eBay,mid price range. Wouldn't be without it. But you need a monitor you can dim for nighttime use. Easy to fit and you can see if there is anyone trying to nick a saw out of the back at traffic lights:)

My last one was in sale at halfords £15 . I dont pay much for them as they get smashed or water gets in. Make sure its a mirror image. I bought a fantastic sony camera once and then found people over taking me on the nearside which is strange on an A road let alone the motorway.

You can get an adapter lead to reverse the image if you need to, plugs in between the end of the extension lead and the monitor.

To the op, you won't regret fitting one. Depending on your work, if you go onto large construction sites, highway jobs, or other places with more h&s people than workers, many ask for rear view camera's.

Not got a wire less one myself, but know someone who had one to use on the back of the truck, then move it to the trailer when towed, it had a magnetic mounting, it worked but the picture was not as good/picked up interference when on the trailer. That was a few years ago so may be the technology has improved now.
