We do it weekly but have a printed sheet with all serial numbers and indents on just to tick off ! .

We also have to do a pewer one for all our saws and chippers ect .

I thought this would be the way to go but haven't got round to organising it yet ours are still all hand written.

we try to do ours every week at work. it's pretty rapid using a proforma I got from the AA health and safety pack. having an orderly list of stuff with all the relevant serial numbers all neatly typed out makes it a fairly easy and quick process to go through.

every so often I also use this time to undo any knots I may have in my systems, be them stopper knots, fishermans or hitchs just so I can check the cord/rope that is kind of hidden within the knot itself, could be seen as a OTT but it makes me feel abit safer/happier.
