It's quite interesting hearing feedback about these saws.

One thing I've noticed, anyone who reads feedback then buys, the choice is split. However, those who TRY both first, most buy the husky.

Irrespective of the final choice ( I'm a Husky man ) to try both is the only way surely ? :001_smile:

Sure is mate. Guess what I was trying to say was a positive for the husky.

Seems there was a couple of bad saws early on and obviously they are well and truly discussed. On reading about this, folk might be put off.

On the other hand, anyone who tries a 550 or 560 before they buy, seem to be hooked!

Understood bud . To be honest I went for the 560 back in 2011 just because I am a Husky fan . Also I heard all the story of the Stihl clutch bearings clapping out in an afternoon etc ...

It is a total no-brainer - the Huskys are far ahead of the competition in the 50 and 60cc classes at the moment .

They just handle much better and are more fun to use, including the really snappy trigger response!

To bad you never took the time to work a couple of days with the Dolmar equivalents (5105 and 6100). Both in power and torque they outrun the Husqies. Probably the customer satisfaction for maintenance and durability on both saws is better too. But time will have to tell that in case of the 6100.

We don't get dolmars in uk, so no dealers, no uk parts back up, no warranty - nothing
