Protos :thumbup1:

Now and again I've put my petzl helmet or my Husky helmet on for ground work. Within 20 mins they're dumped back in the truck and the Protos is back on my bonce.

Hard to beat for comfort.

I've got the new husky forestry one as my old one lasted years, comfy enough to wear all day only downside is the visors don't seem as strong as the old ones, only had mine 4 months and needs new visor already

Considering OP has an inexpensive helmet, a Protos is hardly feasible in his situation.

Time for a super duper upgrade!!!!!

Haha good point! Why is there vat to pay on the protos? I thought if you bought a helmet with muffs and visor they were vat exempt.

If it's just for carving would mesh goggles and muffs or earplugs be a decent alternative ?

Yes possibly mate, I wear glasses so would need to see if the mesh goggles would fit over them.

Thanks for the input everyone:thumbup:

You still got the tash Simon? Surely that will give you some protection?

 I do and the beard is making a come back too now movember has passed:001_smile:

I might just cover all bases, get the basic husky helmet for now and get some headband muffs or plugs too.

Is anyone else a glasses wearer? Do the mesh goggles fit over specs?

Might just give this a go at that price should be worth a shot. Looks like they will go over your glasses as well.

check the other ones at the bottom of the amazon page cooooool

Would never wear plugs again. had to wear them for over a year in the factories and was always having problems with my lugs.
