I finally got around to watching the video AFTER reading all the posts Reading some of the replies on here I was thinking the crews had committed some cardinal sin. As far as I can see, apart from coning the road off either side of the tree at 2x fall distance and maybe stationing a dedicated observer, I wouldn't have done a whole lot different. Two chippers and four men going hell for leather with the clean up I'd imagine it would be done in less than half the time of a dismantle.

After realizing who these guys are i can probably say that its the price of the tender on the tree that might have got them thinking about felling it in a oner, and imo id do the same but maybe shut the road quickly first though.

Have to agree with you there- if there's a problem with your staff as the boss it falls on you. P.s as previously stated- we run a respectable, professional company - we don't associate ourselves with people like that!
