Got some left over from making up some fencing stakes and wondered how well it burns. I am sure I read on here somewhere that people did not like it but not sure why. And yes it will be dried properly.

It's on both of my open fires right now, along with scots pine. It's been down for 12-18 months and not a scorch mark on the carpet. If it's not super seasoned it'll spit.
