Difference between the 90xp and 90, also the 150ld and 150xp? Thanks

Mainly engine size, and weight,we have a 150xp with a 140bhp Perkins ,the 150 ld has around 85 hp and no engine cover and a few other extras to reduce weight for towing ,but you don't have the same grunt for chipping big stuff.

Ah yes i can see that now. Do you know the rough weights of the 150 LD and XP?

Hi Eastern!

never put the 150xp on weighbridge but it has to be 2.6t without spare wheel, fire ex's cones, tools etc, winch.

Bandit's site does give you approx weights.

I think it's more like 2.8 and slightly heavier with the winch ,built like battleships!!

Approx weights are as follows:-

New machines

90xp- 2200kgs

150ld- 2000kgs

150xp-3000kgs

Older machines

90xp- 1950kgs

150ld-2000kgs

150xp-2800kgs

These are based on our std spec but remember there are vast options.

Hi Dean.

When I've finished with it as a chipper, I'm off to weigh it in!:001_tt2:

This also explains why I'm not getting 42mpg out of Landy except downhill!

Where does the extra weight come on the new 150xp Dean is it on a twin axle? And has the value of ours gone up yet???

I believe they have a deeper chassis rail now, they are changing continuously. They are are now only available up to 114hp unless you go to tier 4. We do build as std on twin axle it that makes relatively no difference to weight or price, the machine sits lower & tows better. You can still have single axle if you wish.

Always willing to talk money, give me a shout.

I’ve heard several people say bandit disc chippers not so good at conifers.

I’m interested in a 150ld that I’ve come across, but a lot of our work is leylandi removals and large maccys and monterey pines.

Any opinions?
thanks
