small diameter chipper

I get about a dozen or so trees a year to fell and remove for my business landlord a year. I am getting fed up carting away the brash and I am investigating a small dia chipper, probably not more than 50mm at the most. Anything bigger than that gets kept for firewood. Not every tree's brash has to be removed, just maybe about half of them.

Anyone got any recommendations (doesn't have to be new). I don't want to hire one in as then I am committed to doing the job on certain days

The chap who does garden machinery down the road has a couple of Elliot Majors for sale that might well be spot on for your needs. I toyed with the idea of one for the couple of domestic jobs I do per year, but in the end I was just trying to justify a new machine I didn't need. He wants £1k each for them (he's selling them for a customer) but I think that there is room to negotiate. They are almost as new.

For £1k you'd get a Treebusta in vgc. Weighs ~220kg and is like a big wheelbarrow; 2 wheels at the front, 2 legs at the back and long handles. You'd need to think carefully abut transport but for such rare use I'd say it would be perfect. Oh, will chip 3" stuff easily.
