Coppice Tool, bring and buy sale (for charity)

All welcome to the tool sale on Saturday February 1st, at Pepenbury, Pembury, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN24QU, 10.30 -4pm

 

Bring along your unused tools to sell, swap or barter and buy some one else's. From a chainsaw to a billhook, or any other woodland tools that need a new owner. We have already had a lot of interest, with some exciting tools being brought along.

 

Donations on the gate to Pepenbury (supporting adults with learning disabilities | Pepenbury), who are kindly allowing us to have a great get together, raise some money for a nice organisation, and break up the winter. This will be the first of a run of informal events to bring coppice workers together, with the intention to strengthen the national network.

 

Any offers of help, either with promoting or making the day run smoothly (or organising more) welcome. Let me know if you'de like a flier emailed to print and display in chainsaw/tool/agricultural shops (or any where else you can think of).

 

Refreshments will be provided by Pepenbury cafe

No but I'm sure we could organise something around the north notts area.

We had one in Herefordshire the other month, great fun. And I sold my trailer, though I'm not sure why I bought an antique Kango !

 

Pepenbury has a whole range of miniture animals and places for kids to play, there is also a woodland walk with a log maze / fort in it.

 

If anyone wants to get in touch and have a chat about having a sale in the future, feel free. Its a great excuse to meet up and have a moan, while swapping some kit about.

Don't suppose you've got a Kent pattern one with a Royal Ordnance stamp on it and a WW1 date? Still trying to replace the one an idiot acquaintance of mine left on a canal towpath in Birmingham.

How do these things happen ? It makes me wonder where things come from some times when I look in the shed but I don't see how you can have ten too many billhooks unless you know what the requisite amount of billhooks is I keep looking on the flea market for one to go with my collection of hatchets
