This is my very first tophandle in thirty years of treecare that I trusted with a 16 inch bar! The saw doesn't sound like it's running properly at all but when the chain hits wood and when the going gets tough this little saw is unstoppable!

I don't really see any point in modding this high revving lean burning saw when it cuts elm and oak with a fully buried 16 inch bar like it does.

According to the manual we are supposed to grease the bar tip sprocket and the needle bearing at the clutch.

The supplied plastic grease gun never works IME and I don't know how else to get the grease into the bar tip.

 

I've never done this in any of my other saws.

What do you guys use?
