Subbie climber and crane truck in cambridge

Hi all

 

 

I have just relocated to Ely, and am now looking for subbie work.

 

I have ten years climbing experience, I am confident doing any type of tree work, and there are plenty of pics on this forum of work i'v done. References available.

 

I have tickets, climbing/rigging kit, saws and transport.

 

I also have an 18 tonne truck, with a 9.5 t/metre crane with log grapple. The truck is slightly bigger than a 7.5 tonne cargo, but will carry ten tonnes of timber.

 

This is available to hire as a package with me as climber, or on its own just to collect timber.

I hope it will prove a winning combination. I think having the crane truck on site all day will make things much easier, rather than getting someone in to shift everything in one go.

 

The more I think about it, the more sense it makes to offer a combined climber and crane truck hire service.

Your crane is similar to Skyhuck's isn't it?

 

Would you be doing dismantles and operating the crane yourself via the radio remote like him?

 

If so, I think you're onto a winner Peter.

 

Its a bold move to set up from scratch in a completely new area in the current climate, and leave your regulars behind.

i found that being good at your job gets you the work, you can advertise as much as you like, but if jo-public watches a good bit of surge, the phone doesnt stop ringing. good kit makes you stand out from the rest, put the two together and its a winning combination. good luck peter
