Hmmm, storm work. I have mixed feeling's about it. I don't like messing booked in customers about for emergency work. It always seems to be a drama getting paid for it and there's always the 'I'm not paying you, the insurance company is' line. I'll be doing the job I've got booked in tommorow, that I know I'm going to be squared up for - weather permitting. Storm work can wait. :001_smile:

I just tell them its payment on completion (domestic customers) I will of cause give them an invoice, so they can recoup the cost from their insurer

This time last year hurricane Sandy blew us apart here in New York. An unforgettable experience for sure. Be very careful if you get some strong damage. Be safe!

My memories....

well been out to pick daughter up as a home carer for elderly roads around these parts badly flooded in places so her little car was struggling in rain and wind. plus member of 4x4 response group. coming back chap had hit flood water and lost control police on scene but looking after driver so sat in flood with beacons on to stop anyone else hitting it. first time i used my strimmer in dark to cut back vegetation in ditch to let water run off road. see if council will pay me for my time.
