Last night's joy, someone had had a chew at it and stolen all the small timber on this side of the wall but looking at the curvy cuts had also had a little chew at the road, was fairly easy as cut it in two and dragged it down the road onto a big grass verge and what was left cut and Chuck over the wall to clear the footpath, quick blow of sawdust and done. 👍

We quoted to remove this tree a few months ago and explained to the client how heavily decayed at the base and it would fail soon and trash one of the cars below. They left it and as we turned up in the morning the bloke just said 'DONT SAY A WORD'

priced this one and the guy actually said wanted to get an idea of cost as might cut it up himself! Pointed out the dangers of compression etc, never heard any more about it, either he's in a and e or someone went it silly cheap!

Tonight's joy, lifted it's root plait(what there Was of 1) and hung up in trees at opposite side.

Police closed the road for us to drop it, big step cut and yank the bottom of with the winch till it fell.

Couldn't belive it but while we were actually winching it down a Car pulles up at the cones, Driver gets out and kicks a few cones out of the way shifts the police Road closed sign and drives towards us, luckily the tree dropped just as he set off and missed his bonnet by about 5ft - clean pants probably needed.

Copper wouldn't tell me what was said but I guess he'll be having to pay the station a visit in the next few days.
