Had a suspicion it might be but surprised it is though . Usually 3/8 lo pro is only on top handles and pole saws I thought ? ....

No, 3/8lp is fitted to all non-pro saws under 50cc as standard nowadays, with stihl even doing a rim to fit it to the 261 (241 now has 3/8lp fitted as standard)

No worries, I think the picco super chain is the dogs danglies, had a few loops knocked up for the smaller husky saws

Hello people,

i have a small chainsaw, Husqvarna 135.

i know the type of chain i need for it and even the file type and angles to file.. but there is just no where online or anywhere that has the file size and usage table for my chain. The chain says 37 on the drive links (the chain is 3/8pitch, 1.3mm gauge, and 52 drive link) .. i want the kind of table you get on the back of a chain box just for reference. but that number "37" does not show up on the only two chain identification charts i can find.

can anyone help me?

cheers

It's on page 32 of the English section in the manual that comes with the saw, it is in mine anyway. 52 drive links is the 14" bar same as mine and it says to use a 5/32" / 4mm file. The number 37 is the chain type, Husqvarna H37 or Husqvarna H36

A 251 flies with a 12" 3/8p 1.1mm bar fitted, so the same on a 261 would be awesome for coppicing etc.

I love 1.1mm, I find the thinner kerf a real advantage with polesaws and small saws like the 181. I also find it much quicker to sharpen due to the lack of metal and oddly, more tolerant of poor sharpening techniques/odd sized cutters. Anyone else find this?

That's the one.

It's a 3/8 low profile as fitted to most top handle saws.

I'll try and get a pic up of all the info as 2 stroke ady says it's all on the back of a husky chain box.

Came across this years ago with a 181 we now call them little 3/8 and big 3/8
