Request from customer - would you?

Here's part of a letter from a customer... I'm not too comfortable with the idea; what do you think?

"One more thing to ask. Are you happy to write a supporting letter objecting to the TPO from your perspective as the professional carrying out the work, to support the letter and documentation I am going to send? I want the objection to have as much weight as possible from the outset"

Customer is objecting to blanket tpo on well managed woods via appeal letter to Tree Officer.

Why is the TO protecting the trees? If they are under good managment I see no point.

I would personally always object to a TPO on trees in my ownership. The implications on time, effort and finances(if applications are done by a contractor as such). However on a professional basis I would rase an objection on behalf of the client, on there criteria, stating such and charge a fee appropriate to the time and effort.

Does the forestry commision have any interest in the woodland? i.e. are the involved with managment plans, felling liscenses etc.
