I too would struggle to sell kiln dried logs at that price and as a few customers have tried it in the past and commented that it burns to quickly.

 

Yeah, I have a number of customers who have bought kiln dried off one of my competitors and they have said it burns way too fast and is expensive. A lot of them store logs outside as well so surely kiln dried timber would start to take moisture back in.

This is what ive always thought about kiln dried logs, unless you are going to store them in a kiln they will absorb the moisture in the atmosphere where they are stored, I have a couple of customers who store their logs outside with no cover as "mine are to dry, and with a bit of rain on them they burn longer"

used to deliver to a guy who kept his logs in a wheelbarrow filled with water for a day or 2 so they lasted longer when he put them on the fire.
