I was a little embarrassed at the piss taking in this thread when all she was doing was asking for help/info . What is so flippin funny about someone wearing a climbing hat whilst on the ground ?? How many climbers swap hats as soon as they touch the deck ??

That's what I thought, have never worn a ground lid just for the reason that they look uncomfortable to me. Good original post john I enjoy reading most posts even if they are a little over my head but always try to add input when I see fit.

John, some evenings on here you can almost feel the sharks circling waiting for the evenings roustabout, usual suspects and I am amongst them. Sniping at each other, calculated insults and oneupmanship, guess what? It's brilliant!

As others have said I don't care about my nan reading it and I very much doubt she'd be bothered to look on a trade forum or give a monkey's about what I wrote.

The PPE thread was silly, fair enough (not involved, too stupid even for me)

Ps I find your use of the word "disappointed" a bit well, disappointing:001_smile:

Surely u just said that your amongst the sharks a usual suspect waiting for a calculated insult and oneupmanship. Just wondering why? Unless I've misread what your trying to say.

A forum is for people to discuss issues, offer advice etc.

This is a brilliant one - lots of good advice on kit and methods.

I like the idea of having 'a bit of a go' but we all draw the line somewhere different.

Sometimes opinions come into the equation, and different people have different opinions.

We all think WE are right.

When something is written down it can come across very harshly - if we were talking face to face the same words would be said in a manner (I hope) which would make the message less aggressive.

I'm happy to publicly apologise to Horatio if my comments caused offense over the

'Running from the chipper' issue. We all work very hard to do the best job we can.

I agree some of us need to consider how the messages might be perceived.

All the sharks are consulting adults. It's fun for all of us.

I do other stuff here as well you know.
