haha. Cheers Mick.

I'm gonna re-start this thread for Dan (the man) and put his point across a little more elequently.

Hi, My name is Dan. I'm 18 yrs old and have been working casually within the tree industry for nearly 2 years. The so-called "tree surgeon" that I worked for has done nothing but use me and my keen-ness to his own gains. He has done nothing but take the mickey and push me to my limit whereby i nearly got to the point of hating trees. He has shown no intentions of teaching me anything, (even when I have asked), he has wanted nothing more than someone to pay measley cash in hand to, to do all the dragging out, fueling saws, feeding the chipper and sweeping up.

I have met Frank on numerous occasions when He came to sub-contract climb for "said" tree surgeon. I couldnt help but admire Franks enthusiasm and passion for his job and all shiny climbing gadgets. I am now in a position where I am not willing to help the other guy line his pockets. I want to better myself and gain the qualifications and experience whereby I can enjoy a job the way that Frank does (maybe not so much as actually hugging the trees haha).

Can anyone offer me )and Frank) any advice on which way to turn, college courses or chainsaw tickets?? tech cert or ND??? AA or ISA?? is there funding available to get someone into a job??/ etc etc. Much obliged. Serious answers only, jokes to be sent to Frank via P.M
