Mini diggers have the ability to make a huge amount of money, more than a chipper for example I would say, I'd not look at a chipper with 2000hrs on it but that's about half way through a mini diggers trouble free life. If all the fluids are changed regularly than they usually don't wear out much and have a very high resale value.

I pretty much run my business of my mini along with its various attachments (auger, grab and post knocker) I use it for fencing, stock proof and domestic, scrub clearance tree work, stone walling and of course general excavating and landscaping. Best bit of kit I own

Is the thumb attachment useful for extracting logs from woodland and lifting onto a trailer? If so how much weight can a 2t digger take ?

Assume better to buy a digger than a forwarding trailer with grab as at least it can be used for other jobs ?

The thumb is brillant at loading wood onto a truck loose, it would not be as good as a rotator for real forestry, mine lifts 350kg perhaps more;
