Which was the absolute "secret" a hairy arsed REME Sargent refused to tell me, when talking about rescuing a laden 4 tonner with a landrover.

As this was something obviously well beyond the ken of a wet behind the ears "one pipper", who should have been goggle eyed at such tales of "derring do".

My my was he pissed when I said "you simply stuck it in the low box then"

i'd be interested to see this same test against a navara or similar. Not saying for a second the landrover wouldn't cane it, but it would be interested to see what sort of a fight(if any) a navara would put up

Well I'm a landy man through and through but I'd have thought the navarra would stand just as much chance as a landy- it comes down to weight/traction and difflocking ability so can't see why the navara would be at a loss, they certainly have the power to boot.

Clutch might stink tho:lol:

Not sure about that (55 plate navara) struggled to tow a laden transit full of chip 15 miles after it broke down......where as my mates landy 130 towed a ifor trailer with my ford 4000 with loader, 25 miles up hill and down back to my yard no probs!!:thumbup1::confused1:
