Saw investments.

I think the general quality build in saws has declined in resent years.to much plastic and bad engineering.

I always try to buy pre 2007 stihls as they seem to be better built be for then and that's why they hold there money more.

As always not getting into stihl or husky war just a personal view.

Ran up the 560 today, screaming it setting the auto tune in some big rounds.

It felt very fast and agile, and started from warm on the first pull every time.

I hope I'm still impressed in a few years time!

 

Thanks for the feed back mark spoke to the bosses today to get the wheels in motion. Quick question can you use other bars on them other than oregon as the gauge is different to stihl bars and buying different reels of chain won't be practical.

You can run run 3/8 chains no bother Mark, but need to change the sprocket as well as the bar.

I may end up doing this myself.

 

I'm sure the dealer of your choice would do this on order so the saw came sporting 3/8.

 

Are you going to the Woodfair on Saturday mate?
