salice works perfectly through my rope guide and i also recommend tachyon, very nice rope.

The guy in the shop warned me off the slaice. He said it often got stuck in his pulley saver and had problems retrieving?? Strange as there isn't much difference between the PS and RG.

Seconded on tachyon tho.

if your coming to the treekend this weekend in the Cotswolds then bring your rope with you & if there's time & its not too dirty i'll do a splice for you on the weekend if you like? also you'll be able to try a whole range of different ropes & termination options ill have gecko with 3 varying spliced eyes and a gecko with the streamline sewn eye, yale xtc with spliced, velocity, tachyon, aeris, the works! that way you can play all day to try before you splash out ordering something you wont like!

Completely opposite for me , I have both a spliced and a saliced tach , I think the salice is much easier to put through the cocoon .

Haha okay, ten mins ago I pussied out and went for Yale blaze, solely because it'll become a company rope and for the price I get 45m for the price of 37m of tachyon. It'll get puffed and frayed before long with silky and chains dangling along side it so I could'nt bear to do it to a posh rope!
