This year I'm trying kindling for the first time. I usually try and convince my customers to buy a small axe and make there own. Following several customer requests I thought I'd give it ago. This evening I sold my first five bags. I've sourced them from an extremely nice firewood merchant in Hereford. I've purchased X so many bags to see how it goes. I'm very impressed with the quality and size of the bags.ImageUploadedByArbtalk1378410849.371173.jpg.ec4a5bbaf5fb84107a4625657cc7cf61.jpg

It's a cross sale, ask everybody who rings you to place an order if they would like some and always carry some on the truck as there have been times when people have said, "Mmm, I should've ordered kindling, did you bring any?"!!!

I always try and ask, "and would you like any peat, kindling , wood briquettes or coal?" More often than not they say no but it is amazing how many do then ask for these items. May only be small amounts but they all add up.

Wish I could get some more bags of kindling like that, managed to get a pallet load of it for £1.57 a bag including delivery last year!

On to some that aren't as well packed now and the bags rip really easy. Imported from somewhere.

There is a guy near us that sells them, I got a hundred and it sold well.

Sent from Outerspace.
