Johnny - nobody can answer this question except the existing firewood merchants in your area. You will see various figures bandied around but the final answer depends on your local market.

 

Any attempt to charge £95 for a cube bag in Galloway would see you laughed out of the county - or the dogs set on you.

oak is the only hard wood that people do not like around here as it is never seasoned probably so gets a bad name. If i sell on its own it would be 90£ m3 mixed in with ash £100.

Just paid £170 for a 2 cube load (worked out at to 1.8 when stacked so was dead chuffed) of 6inch Oak from Borobridge so thats 85. Same guy offered me mixed hardwood loads for 150, or softwood (including poplar) £120, and straight plantation grown Eucalyptus for £120 as well (which aparently burns very well).

 

Thats only 25 miles or so from you, but away from any urban area, so Id say £90-£95 is fair in Leeds.

(I collected and drove it back to Leeds mind you)

It's already been said, but...

 

It's worth whatever someone will pay for it.

 

Probably less now than in February if we have a cold winter. Or more than come next April if it is mild...
