Is it for ground work or climbing? For ground work I would reccomend the Husqvarna Forest Helmet for £35.99

HUSQVARNA FUNCTIONAL CHAINSAW SAFETY HELMET - Helmets - Helmets - PPE & Clothing

For climbing I would reccomend the Petzl Vertex Vent Complete for £79.49, I know its £10 over budget but it comes with the Ultravision visor and free delivery :thumbup1:

The vertex vent is a cracking helmet, you can also add a clear vizir to it aswell as any other visor from MSA/Husqvarna.

Hope this helps.

Very nice Petzl but would you do that with free delivery to me in Southern Ireland? Thats the burning question!!

What are you using it for? I bought a new cutting helmet recently, kask (stein) with peltor ear defenders & visor and tbh it's crap. The visor pivots so far down it generally touches my nose and leaves big gaps to the side, the ear defenders have a rubbish seal. The helmet's ok, but I wish I'd bought something better.

I'd say go for a husky if I was you.

Peltor fittings are not as good as the msa/husky. I only use the visor on my kask if i am cutting really dusty stuff or hedgetrimming.

The Husky forestry helmet is good value.Being a tightwad, i swap the husky muffs and visor to my petzl for climbing work.A couple of minutes effort to snap them in and out and the husky muffs are comfortable.

Just bought a new one of these as was going to get new visor for my old one then realised just how old it is, so spalshed out much comfier than my old husky helmet, thing that swayed it is the 6 point harness the stihl and oregon ones are only 4 point :thumbup1:
