He just got back to me after I told him he should inform people it was a copy/fake not legit . His reply was , and I quote " What for ? people know about fakes " I despair ......

 

Me too, same thing I asked, I got this, & I quote;

 

i"m not say in descriptions that is husqvarna,it listed as chainaw with funny start price,i think i enough to understand.otherwise i will add about.

Just spoke to the seller on fleabay telling him that it was a Chinese Zomax saw rebadged and faked and bugger me he actually replied saying he new that !

 

yep cos i emailed him the other day

That's what I thought too. The Stihl badge is wrong on the flywheel and the clutch cover has Stihl on it whereas the genuine one has nothing.

Someone has said before that they are still made in Brazil but I reckon that's got to be a good fake.

2nd has OEM top, OEM starter, but looks like it has been painted white, carb looks new, has serial etched on the ridge, fuel breather looks replaced, but looks correct, it's got the old dogs, not the copys that have the chain catcher hole

First has a lot of obsolete parts that the Chinese don't make, once again it's been painted (badly) and stihl has been written with marker pen, both have the old style crank case

Have you noticed the ink stamp (p2?) on the casing behinds the dogs? That wouldn't have been around when that saw was made?

Im not convinced about saw 2 either.
