Thanks to Husqvarna!

This message is assuming that my local Stihl/Husky dealer was telling the truth - he usually does and he will NOT post parts, so he's for real.

I would like to extend my thanks to Husqvarna for a very good piece of design.

You have finally managed to produce what looks like a good top-handled saw.

:thumbup:

BUT - as seems to be the way these days you've managed to make it a bit more difficult for MS200 users to convert.

You cleverly use the same chain as Stihl (fank god 'Arry) but just so the 10 or so chains I have cycling around for my MS200s cannot be used on your saw you have developed bar lengths which require a different number of drive links!

:lol::lol::lol:

Thanks - I can honestly say that I considered buying one of your saws this week (I've heard decent reviews) but I'll wait a year or so till my MS200s have used up all those chains and gradually died.:001_tt2:

If you want to fight in the market - think about who you are competing with and maybe find ways to entice customers over.

:confused1:

I can't see that they would deliberately keep the sizes different - given that they have a small share of the market. if they were market leaders trying to kill off the opposition (like Microsoft often did) then yes - I can see it.

Over to you, Oregon etc...

American and Japanes/Chinese aftermarket stuff to the rescue (and a load of crap on ebay no doubt).
