HI BEN why worry mate i use to be like that but now you have to make your logs better then anyone else thanks jon :thumbup:

HI HODGE why worry mate like you no. you can not buy logs just on price as all logs are NOT THE SAME AND SERVICE IS NOT THE SAME :001_rolleyes:THANKS jon :thumbup:

and once you get the best quality logs you gotta dodge the rozzers they done me yesterday 4 bulk in the van only 700kg overloaded they just had to stop me on a day with rain wet oak for a guy, just as well it wasnt a 6 bulk day or a 19 barrow bag. now I'm running half loads and 8 weeks its a very long wait on the new van

i got pulled over few weeks back, the old bill was worried i had a heaped up load of CONCRETE in the pick up and nothing stop it falling out onto the a14....i politely pointed out the load was ash logs not concrete, oh not to worry then he said and off i went! turns out ash logs are made of foam..

Just seen an advert from another local firewood guy, summer special £175 for 3.5 cube seasoned. Think I will either offer to buy the whole lot off of him or wait till he has sold out and all his customers head my direction (hopefully). Makes my summer special price look...not to special!

 

Mentally thats £50 a cube, ( inc VAT ??) buying cord in and putting into into bags is not much cheaper than that. If its good quality hardwood, 14% ish, consistant length, split, I would be tempted to ask him how much for 25 cube, and buy it. Keep it 6 months and double your money.

I am tempted yes. the advert doesnt mention VAT....

 

My prices are double, so yes would be easy to make a few £££
