I'd personally apply common sense. I the replacement placed pressure upon the cam when unloaded, preventing freefall in emergency why not?

 

Was told at arb fair that wire was not a LOLER requirement as long as the grab was not adapted.

 

Freefall prevented by good old fashioned stopper Knot!

 

The original wire on the grab is so s**t it surely can't be serving a very important safety function?:scared1:

what makes of 10mm line are you guys using with your cinch? Is 10mm rope suitable to use as a side lanyard or am i getting this set up all wrong?

ive got some petzl 10mm rope-i heard that you should use dynamic rope with the cinch though but not sure where i heard or read it. i imagine any 10mm rated line will work bro

ive just recently changed to the cinch from the art positioner, got some 10mm dynamic climbing line from the local climbing shop, works very nicely, il be puting the positioner on my wire core to replace the ropegrab

John, Do you know if you need to change the clutch to put a postitioner on a flip line?
