defender vents under windscreen

Hi there. Just curious as to why there are vents under the windscreen? Obvioursly for air etc... but dont they leak in etc?

 

Wouldnt it be easier to have a flat panel accross the front and just put your window down! Lol

 

of course they leak.... but landrover have the answer for that, its the gaps around the bottom of the doors to let the water back out!

 

this all goes back to when locals used to drive them into the river.... it means the pressure equalises allowing you to open the door, as opposed to you suffercating!

 

Its a landrover what do you expect.:001_tt2:

They are air con for Landys! Mine have been open for the last 4 weeks keeping us cool. They don't leak if you keep em lubed and the seals good.
