  1. Sorry about the picture quality I'm going down there this week some time so will get some better shots. And branching out? Really?
  2. These are the best I can get gents, I would nip out and take a few more snaps but the site is 250 miles away.
  3. A work pal took the pictures. I just had a snap of a beach he brought back. It was a spur of the moment thing putting it on here, that's why I will provide more pics in the morning...
  4. For all the other stupid comments. I would go along with the banter, but it's piss poor.
  5. I'll get more pictures in the morning gents thanks. I was thinking maple myself. It was a very old tree. In an old woodland in bricket wood St. Albans.

Can anybody ID this for me? Thanks in advance
  8. Stop hitting stones and mud with it...... That should help.
  9. If any sub-contracting firm fancy taking on work on the rail infrastructure send me a message. Work available nationally. Must be competent gangs with own chipper ETC.... A good chance to get your foot in the door with a large company with vast amounts of work..... Thanks.
  10. There basically saying you do not have right to light, and will not reduce a tree because you "don't get sun in your garden past midday" Which is a good thing.
  11. Due to myself moving on to another company please contact [email protected] Thanks
  12. Haha yeah working away stuck in a hotel room on my own.
  13. Get rid. It's in a crap location, will only get worse as the years go on. Nip it in the bud now. Many replant another tree in a better location.
  14. Just take them out your drawer and get a picture of them...
  15. Due to expansion Homegrown Timber Rail are offering jobs to 5 successful candidates. Working around the UK. Two positions in Barnsley and surround areas. Three positions in The North West, ideally close to Liverpool. Company vehicle provided for the gangs along with all PPE. Must hold current chainsaw competencies and a valid driving licence. Advantages would be in-date PTS cards and spraying tickets. Salary based on experience and 28 days paid holiday per year (including bank holidays). Ample opportunity for overtime. Training and progression will be available for successful candidates. I look forward to hearing from you. Please send a CV/Cover note to [email protected]. Or for more information contact me on the same email address. Josh Scott Contracts Supervisor.
  16. Us to operate a bandit, one of the best machines I've used. Had a bandit beast on one of my sites before too. If I was to go buy a chipper weather it be a 9inch tow behind, or a whole tree chipper it would be bandit every time. Simple and effective. Get one with the ram on top of the feed roller to push the roller down, it's a god send!
  17. If only use the vt for a side strop. Don't feel safe climbing on it, has a tendency to slip. Distel is better than the vt.
