  1. Don't know how two holes in the side of an exhaust can look like a boy racer has attacked it..... So getting it wrapped in carbon is out of the question? Was going to get a gti sticker for it too
  2. It's like putting a bigger exhaust on a car, it improves performance. Can get rid of the exhaust fumes quicker thus dragging more fuel through etc. (that's my outlook, don't profess to be a mechanic but that's the basics)
  3. Keep your head down and work hard, ask question, be keen to learn, don't be a know it all and you will go far.
  4. I can do mushrooms and planters, when do I start?
  5. I once snatched a conifer out, looked down and the two groundies on the ground were in a heap on top of a metal shed roof! Haha. I personally thought it was abit on the big side but the groundies were adamant they could handle it! It's not just you up the tree who needs to understand weights, your only as good as the grounds man, really it should be a team effort. Nothing better than working with a groundsman you can trust.

    Eco Plugs

Use them all time on railways. No need for a spraying ticket. There already mixed etc. drill the depth an bang them in. If your planning on doing abit I'd recommend a stihl drill. Invest in a good bit too.
  7. Nice vid, you will be swinging some real bits out before you know it. Half the battle is having a good grounds man. If you feel comfortable with the groundy you will be more confident up the tree. Nothing worse than a sh#t groundsman.
  8. Rugby and tree work are completely different.............. Good luck tho!
  9. I were lucky then I left college to 10ner an hour. I am part squirrel tho
  10. Moz, u an I both know you wouldn't work for that
  11. I can remember this, one guy wanted to close the road off then get a crane in, haha. Some tools about. Nice job. Glad to see someone who had sense did it.
  12. 8 pound odd???? Get yourself to Asda, least a tenner for stacking shelfs!
  13. As long as its 6m away from track they don't give a c*ap wot it looks like in general haha. Once of a day a spray train just drive through and nuked the lot!
  14. From the questions you ask you don't have much experience in the working world, course you need to LOLER your own kit. I'd suggest, getting out there and working for a few firms, see how they work and are set up. But setting up a buisness with not much experience and advise off a forum is risky to say the least, especially with the economy being rubbish. Could all go very wrong very quickly!
  15. There numerous things done on the rail pal, Fence line clearance (clearing trees for a new fence line etc) 6m flail (clearing all the trees that are within 6m of the track) DDD tree removal (removing dead, dying dangerous trees) Clearing trees back to that are withing falling distance of the track. Public complaints (cutting back trees encroaching gardens highways etc) The above is some, not all of the de-veg tasks on track. It's completely different to domestic arb, you won't be carrying out nice little dead woods or crown thins, it's clear from this point to the next if its within 6ms etc. I find its better money than domestic, with alot more overtime. Plus you don't have to do any of the crappy cleanups u have to do in domestics. Or loads of dragging/dog s*it dodging!
  16. Pm me your details (which contractor You worked for homgown Etc, and tickets) There's quite a few weekend coming up, so ill see wot I can do pal
  17. Why shouldn't it be touched?
  18. Doing abit of everything pal, clearing for new overheads, 6m flail, the job in Wales is clearing trees in a drainage ditch so diggers can get in an sort it out. I'm a site supervisor so I go from site to site filling out audit forms ect.
  19. Plenty of work pal, been down Leighton buzzard for a good few month, just in Wales at min near Llandudno. Really nice area.
