And I still climb SRT when it is clearly the more practical option. But I always have two ropes in the tree with me and I am always tied into two bomber anchors when I use sharp tools.

Stephen, where you anchor your rope is not a question of SRT or DDRT or ddrt, it is just a question of where you anchor your rope.

But drew. You are required to be tied in twice while cutting. I have not found that possible 100% with an SRT mindset. Tying in twice just doesn't make sense sometimes SRT. Why not just tie in twice from the beggining. I'm not loving it but I also could never be that guy who slings my lanyard around every time I use my saw. I'm not going for speed in my work environment.

Do you take a lanyard up with when you work off of two single lines? I assume you do if so how much does it get used?

Kevin you've been rumbled!

I can see the sense in 2 anchors, just not the practicality I a 3 dimensional tree. And for me it just comes down to being more practical with a single lifeline the most important point is ensuring good work position.

I have full trust in a single line to keep me safe, at least with doubled rope I always have the opportunity to create a second independent anchor on the fly without the need for a second rope.
