Dean has been very quiet on this thread.

6.5 second average for me.

Ed- Is that your dad's shoulders you are sitting on in your avatar?

Seriously, nice clean hardwood, no ladder, no throwbag (level playing field here fellas), 25m? 10 minutes.

Level playing field? Pah!Use any and every tool it takes to get to the top. Throwbags and line are tools of the trade, cheap and affordable for all to use, so should be in your arsenal:001_smile:

If its coming down, spikes on, up there in under a minuet.

If you add the time of buggering about getting the ladders on the truck, getting them off the truck, moving them out the way, do they really save much time?

I hate ladders, I never use them for trees.

I hate ladders. I fell off one once while getting it off the cargo. But a good extender, will save a lot of knobbing about at the bottom trying to throw a rope over the first branch. I have never used a throwline. That makes me feel very old fashioned. I also hate chainsaws. But I used them.

I actually have no idea what so ever ! Never timed myself, like most never bother with ladders as i can't be arsed to get them off the wagon. I suppose once the line is set anywhere between 3-5 minutes...
