Starting too think you have some deep seeded resentment against my truck and mogs johny, any perticular reason or are you just playing devils advicate for the sake off reaction

Jonny is looking for a cheaper way of doing things but he doesn't have one of your "I am an arborist" general exemptions:laugh1:

Why who do you know has 1 off them and how do you get it as would have been a darn site easier than doing it all through the correct channels like I had too?

Go on then, I will rise to it.

What were the correct channels?

What you described at the start of this thread was a mixture of several regulations some of which do not apply to "O" licencing, and none of it fits with the published exemptions.

The entire thing reeks of BS to me but I will withdraw and apologise profusely when you show us all the "correct channels".:laugh1:

The correct channels are too contact the dvla and vosa and explain honestly what the vehicles is and its future use and say simply is this ok and can I have that in writing, they say yes BUT it must run on white and must not be used for things like helping some1 move house (ther example not mine) I carnt quote psalm and verse off the bible on this as dont know which page its on.

This is why I dont discuss my sons serious medical condition on open forums as some1 will read something on the internet, interpret it there way and tell me something different too the people who's job it is too deal with these things.

Im not saying im right or your wrong or vise versa just that this is how it is and it alowes me too get on with my work with the minimum fuss and maximum efficiency within a budget I can afford and frankly sod those who dont like it .

I don't dislike it, I love it. Can I see a copy of the letter or whatever they gave you? I want to get one just like it. I just cant get my head around the reasons you gave. A winch? hardly unique. Roadside trees, what ALL THE TIME, anyhow the exemption that exists for that is for fuel not "O" licencing

Can you clarify please

Winch was factory fitted so plated as a specialist winch vehicle, not just some ebay add on which they said would not qualify as something like an fixt implement for intended purpose whatever that means? management off roadside trees was more relavent as im a registered contract for north yorkshire highways agency and a good % off my turnover comes from this contract so traceble as is the foresty side off my work not just a tree in some 1's garden that's near a road.

Thankyou for liking it as I love it and sad as it is useing it makes me :D
